Dr. Anthony J. Nocella II Visiting Professor in the School of Education recently publishes article “Animal Advocates for Prison and Slave Abolition: A Transformative Justice Approach to Movement Politics for an End to Racism” in the peer-reviewed Journal for Critical Animal Studies, Volume 10, Issue 2. The article rooted in critical animal studies is an intersectional examination of the animal advocacy movement’s methods of addressing racism.
